Looking for passionate film writers and regular contributors – **unpaid**

The Movie Buff is looking for passionate film writers for our website. Writers would be responsible for writing movie reviews or articles on film, submitting content 2-3 times per month.

The Movie Buff focuses heavily on reviews from Box Office, DVD/BluRay releases, and from the indie community. We have been running for almost 15 years, are very active on social media, and have published over 3,500 articles/reviews to date.

Some of The Movie Buff’s focuses include:

    • Film reviews: classic film, Box Office releases, DVD/BluRay, and independent films.
    • Trailers of new and upcoming films, from Hollywood and the indie community.
    • Filmmaker/actor interviews.
    • Film festival coverage year-round.

We also have year-long film series, including:

    • Two Months of Horror — all fall is devoted to horror. Film reviews, articles, and more.
    •
Mob Movie March — an ongoing exploration of mob pictures with reviews and lists.
    •
Holiday cinema — film reviews and themed articles for all major holidays.
    • Oscar coverage — a look at the Academy Awards…the films, performances, and more.
    • World cinema — we cover film festivals and films from all over the world on a regular basis.

In addition, you will gain the opportunity to write about movies and meet others passionate in film criticism, be kept up to date on site happenings and promotions via e-mail, gain exposure for your writing including having articles shared on Twitter and Facebook, build a body of work for future résumé(s), and gain access to free independent movie screeners to view before release. Some of our writers have also been accredited as official Rotten Tomatoes critics.

We are looking for hardworking, passionate film writers. Must be able to meet deadlines.

**Please note: this is an unpaid position**
