    Nepal Culture and Film Center Announces 7th Nepal Cultural International Film Festival 2026 (NCIFF)

    Kathmandu, Nepal: The Nepal Culture and Film Center is pleased to announce the 7th Nepal Cultural International Film Festival (NCIFF) 2026. The festival will be held from January 30 to February 1, 2026, across multiple venues in Kathmandu. The festival celebrates global cinema, cultural diversity, and creative excellence. It will feature film screenings, master classes, filmmaker sessions, panel discussions, and a grand closing ceremony.

    NCIFF has received 700 film submissions from 75+ Countries, with 138 films from 52 countries selected, and 85 semifinalists from 39 countries set to be screened.

    Film Screenings & Filmmaker Sessions

    1. Film Development Board-Opening Ceremony, Film screenings, and Master Class
    2. Nepal Tourism Board-Film screenings, Audience Engagement and Art Exibition
    3. Nepal Police Club – Filmmaker sessions, Panel Discussion, and Closing Ceremony

    Opening Ceremony

    January 30, 2026 | 11:15 AM 1:30 PM | Film Development Board

    The festival opens with a ceremonial event welcoming national and international guests.

    Master Class

    January 30, 2026 14:30 PM 5:30 PM | Film Development Board

    A Master Class on filmmaking and storytelling providing insights for emerging filmmakers, students, and creative professionals.

    Panel Discussion

    February 1, 20261 11:45 AM 1:30 PM | Nepal Police Club

    Featuring prominent figures from cinema, culture, tourism, and public policy, discussing the social impact of cinema, international collaboration, and creative development.

    Closing Ceremony

    February 1, 2026 13:30 PM 8:30 PM | Nepal Police Club

    Awards will be presented to outstanding films and filmmakers, including Lifetime Achievement Awards honoring legendary contributors to Nepali cinema and culture.

    Through this festival, the Nepal Culture and Film Centre promotes Nepali cinema internationally, fosters cultural exchange, and provides a platform for learning and artistic celebration.
