New York, NY—Stonestreet Studios marks an impressive 34-year milestone as a vanguard of innovative storytelling, nurturing emerging talent, and reshaping the film landscape. They’ve innovated with socially provocative films such as “Rain Without Thunder” (Jeff Daniels, Linda Hunt), “The Pack” (Lucie Arnaz, Elisabeth Moss), “ReRUN” (Christopher Lloyd, Teo Rapp-Olsson), and “Aberrant” (Jack Quaid, Jared Wernick). Co-founded by filmmaking partners Alyssa Rallo Bennett and Gary O. Bennett, the studio’s enduring legacy is characterized by its impactful narratives, but also its groundbreaking ‘Stonestreet Screen Acting & Production’ residency program.

At the heart of Stonestreet Studios‘ commitment lies its unique Residency Program. This program—the only one of its kind—provides an unparalleled opportunity to delve into screen acting, directing, writing, and production within a professional film studio environment. It is the only film studio in the country that trains actors in the art of screen acting in the environment of a film studio. Alyssa Rallo Bennett, co-founder, partner, and creator of the Stonestreet Residency, spoke on the program “Our Residency program was born from the need to provide a platform for a greater diversity of actors, directors, and writers outside of traditional studios and conservatories. We found a way to bridge the gap between film and theatrical training, theory and real-world application.”

    Diverse and Socially-provocative Stories

Stonestreet is a 10,000 square foot, full service film studio with multi-camera set-ups, sound, lighting, and post-production editing systems. It is the exclusive film and television advanced residency program of New York University’s Tisch Drama BFA Program. Notable alums of the program include Miles Teller (“Whiplash,” “Divergent”), Rachel Brosnahan (“The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel,” “House of Cards”), Camila Mendes (“Riverdale”), Beanie Feldstein (“Booksmart”), Danny Ramirez (“Top Gun: Maverick”), Xosha Roquemore (“The Mindy Project”), Francesca Reale (“Stranger Things”), Idina Menzel (“Frozen”), Nik Walker (“Hamilton”), Ximena Lamadrid (“Bardo,” “Who Killed Sara”), and Rachel Sennott (“Shiva Baby,” “Bottoms”).

Stonestreet Studios Co-founder and partner, Gary O. Bennett, reflects, “The studio we built has allowed us to be prolific filmmakers and show-runners shepherding culturally diverse and socially provocative stories that continue to win awards and be welcomed on the festival circuit from Tribeca Film Festival to Berlin International Film Festival.” As they celebrate their 34-year journey, Stonestreet Studios looks forward to continuing its tradition of pushing boundaries in storytelling. Upcoming projects “The Arrival” and “Weekend Shoot” underscore their dedication to fostering fresh talent and creating thought-provoking content.
