Review: ‘Hotel Visitor’ Four Minute Horror at its Best

“Hotel Visitor” is a perfect demonstration of short and sweet.

This 2021 horror movie was written and directed by Connor Hatten. It stars Chance Caudill as the only character in the film.

    Totally simple

Set at a hotel late one night, a man (wearing a Chucky t-shirt) witnesses a terrifying figure outside his window. The figure enters the hotel, and the hunt is on.

The uncanny way with which the eerie presence moves is great. The scenes in the hotel are ripe with tension. A hotel at night is already spooky. Add the chills of a figure cloaked in black and you have the basis for effective scares.

Connor Hatten makes “Hotel Visitor” work with little to assist. The budget is low. The talent is limited to a single actor. And yet it works.

Watch this four minute movie for some fun scares.
