The award-winning independent film “Evergreen,” starring Amanda Maddox and Tanner Kalina—which also won ‘Best Film‘ at our 2019 Independent Film Awards—has struck a major success by securing not only an upcoming DVD release, but earning availability on virtually all streaming networks, beginning Tuesday, November 24th.

From writer/director Joe Duca (“Her Name Was Jo”),” Evergreen” is an intimate character study of an interfaith couple’s relationship over a tumultuous Christmas weekend. Paul (Tanner Kalina, “Everybody Wants Some!!”), a contemporary Catholic, plans to propose to his girlfriend, while pragmatic Gena (Amanda Maddox, “Gripped: Climbing the Killer Pillar”) wants to finally take their celibate relationship to the next level. When expectations clash, the two set aside their prior notions and agree to a brutally honest, no-holds-barred weekend of ‘question and answer,’ unearthing long-buried secrets and manifestations from relationships past.
The film has received a positive critical reception, winning a total of 7 film festival wins, including ‘Best Feature’ (Fort Worth Indie Film Showcase), ‘Best Director’ (Hunter Mountain Film Festival), ‘Best Narrative Feature’ (Las Cruces International Film Festival), and ‘Best Picture’ (WorldFest Houston).
In addition, the film also features powerful supporting performances by actor David Bianchi and Olivia Grace Applegate.

The film is an intimate look at relationships in a way not usually approached by mainstream films. “Evergreen” presents relatability, introspection, and, above all, an understanding that Hollywood romances are often ill-suited to deliver. Its beginning and middle are heartfelt and honest; its ending, while bittersweet, is powerful, sublime, and the stuff that great films are made of.
“Evergreen” is now available to rent or buy on the following platforms: Apple TV, Prime Video, Google Play, VUDU, Redbox, Direct TV, Fandango Now, Flexfling, and Microsoft Movies & TV.
The film will also be available on DVD for purchase on December 4th. Retailers to be announced.
